This policy explains what information is handled when you visit the Gunmetal Media Syndicate website at gunmetalmediasyndicate.com (the "site"), and the choices you have. The site is designed to collect as little information as possible.

The short version

• The site has no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no comment sections.
• We do not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, or tracking pixels.
• The site itself does not set cookies.
• YouTube videos load only if you choose to play them.

Information handled when you visit

Like almost every website, the site is served by a hosting provider whose servers automatically record basic technical information for each request. This usually includes your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These server logs are used to operate and secure the site. They are managed by our hosting provider under its own policies and are not used by us to build profiles of visitors.

The site's fonts, images, and scripts are served from our own server. Simply loading a page does not send your information to font services, social networks, or analytics companies.

Email

If you email us, for example at hello@gunmetalmediasyndicate.com, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message. We use this only to read and respond to your message, and we keep it for as long as needed for that purpose and our ordinary business records. We do not sell or rent it.

YouTube videos

The "Latest From Gunmetal" section lists recent videos from Gunmetal's own YouTube channels. Our server checks each channel's public YouTube feed about once an hour and keeps a copy of each listed video's title, link, publish date and thumbnail image on our own server. Visitors' browsers are not connected to YouTube just to show this list, and no information about visitors is sent to YouTube as part of this check.

A video only loads from YouTube if you select its play button. It then opens in a player window loaded from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). From that point YouTube, which is operated by Google, may receive information such as your IP address and may use cookies or similar technologies, as described in Google's own privacy policy. Closing the player window unloads the video. If you never select play, no YouTube content is loaded.

Links to other websites

The site links to other services, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and the websites of game publishers and news outlets listed in Gunmetal Intel. When you follow a link, you leave our site, and the other service's privacy policy applies. We do not control and are not responsible for those services.

Gunmetal Intel news listings

Gunmetal Intel shows headlines and links gathered from public news sources and official publisher feeds. This process collects published article information only. It does not collect information about our visitors, and we do not share visitor information with publishers.

Children

The site is a general-audience gaming media website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can browse the entire site without providing any personal information. You can choose not to play embedded videos, and you can control cookies through your browser settings. If you have emailed us and would like us to delete your correspondence, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If the site's features change, for example if a new embedded service is added, this policy will be updated and the date at the top will change.
